At some point in time the NEOGEO fighting game library must surely be exhausted. I mean, since the start of 2017 we’ve seen a constant influx of games arriving on Xbox One, all promising to deliver us a retro fix. And most of those have been the good old fighter. Today we see another appear – can ACA NEOGEO Karnov’s Revenge deliver anything the others haven’t?
You’ll probably only be able to find out by hitting the Microsoft Store for all it’s worth and getting a download in. Priced at the usual NEOGEO price point of £6.39, Karnov’s Revenge first released way back in 1994, when the world, and gaming, was an entirely different beast. Now though we get to experience it all once more and should you be in the market for a retro fix that brings 13 fighters, some deep combat (for its time), the chance to amend things via the new difficulty settings and the opportunity to place yourself right up on the worldwide leaderboards, then now is the time.
Head on over to the Microsoft Store and purchase ACA NEOGEO Karnov’s Revenge right now. I doubt it’ll blow you away but it may just be worth an afternoon of your time.
