Rainbow Six Siege may have been available for some time now, but that doesn’t mean the content is anywhere near drying up. So with the release of Operation Velvet Shell kicking off on February 7th, Ubisoft are inviting players yet to get in on the full Rainbow Six experience the opportunity to jump in with a free play weekend – starting today.

The free play weekend is available now through until Sunday, February 5th. It is available to players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with full access to all of the game modes, maps and operators currently available in the full version of the game, ensuring players can see just what they could be getting involved in should they follow up with a purchase.

For those unfamiliar with the tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege is a first-person shooter in which players take control of an operator from the Rainbow team, a counter-terrorism unit. Each operator has his or her own unique set of abilities, weapons and gadgets to aid in combat. Being an online-only multiplayer game, matches will see players team up with other players in a multitude of PvP modes of Rainbow vs Terrorist matches.
