Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Loretta is found sitting behind a £12.49 asking price at the Xbox Store. It’s also available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch – expect to pay roughly the same on those storefronts.
A new thriller
Dive in, splashing the cash as you go, and DANGEN Entertainment have a treat in store. Although we guess that depending on your mindset, things will go one of two ways. See, in Loretta you hope to try and guide a woman through a self-created, self-crafted nightmare. It’s here where we are whisked off to the 1940’s taking in a tale of a husband’s infidelity, some betrayal and more. And yep, even the glitz, the glamour and the appeal of that time won’t be able to save things.
The narrative is certainly deep here, centralising around a housewife (Loretta) and a writer (Walter). Struggling through life, strains on their relationship, it’s not long before that infidelity comes to the fore, as does a rather lucrative little insurance policy. We think you can probably guess where this one goes next…
From there, it’s up to you to take in a ton of dialogue, as you shape and guide Loretta’s tale. With various paths, multiple endings, a diverse cast to enjoy and some puzzles to solve, Loretta has pretty much everything you would need for a night or two. It’s helped when you take in the inspiration behind it.
