Two bits of Call of Duty news today and whilst the first is pretty decent, we’re not entirely sure how many people the latter will appeal to.
So first up, there are some new customisation packs available for COD: Ghosts and Black Ops II.
The Makarov Legend Pack, will give you the opportunity to play as one of the most notorious villains in Call of Duty history, Vladimir Makarov in Ghosts multiplayer. Much like the Captain Price pack that dropped a couple of weeks back, the Makarov dlc will include new weapon camo, a patch, a reticle, a playercard and a lovely background. It’ll cost you £3.49/$3.99 and can be purchased from the in-game store (or the Xbox Games Store) for either Xbox One or Xbox 360.
Additionally, there are three other characters you can bring to the Ghosts multiplayer scene; Zakhaev, Rorke and Hazmat will all cost £1.69/$1.99.
If you’re a Call of Duty Black Ops II fan, then you’ll also be please to know that there’s still some life in the old dog yet. Four customisation packs have been released for the game. Each set will consist of some weapon camo, three reticles, and an animated calling card for $1.99 each:
- Beast, which is “inspired by nature’s most lethal predators”;
- Dead Man’s Hand, influenced by Old West gunslingers and card players;
- Octane, which aims to please racing fans; and
- Weaponized 115, based on the Treyarch’s epic Zombies experience, Origins
Again, these can be picked up from the store section of the games multiplayer section.
But that’s not all. If you’ve yet to experience the full Call of Duty Ghosts multiplayer experience then we have some good news for you. This coming weekend (7th-10th March 2014), the Ghosts multiplayer mode will be available for free as part of a demo. It’ll cover three maps; Strikezone, Warhawk, and Prison break; three multiplayer modes – Search & Rescue, Domination and Team Deathmatch and the original Extinction game mode – Point of Contact.
Just download the Ghosts multiplayer demo on Friday and all will be good. What better time to jump in?
