When I saw the pictures of an upcoming XBLA game named CONTRAST I was immediately intrigued and wanting to know more about an apparent use of both 2D and 3D during levels. Luckily they’ve added a new video explaining a little more about what CONTRAST is and their idea behind it.
It seems not only can you wander around in a 3D world of vaudevillian 1920’s but it allows a shift into a shadow world of 2D, using both the light side and shadows to solve puzzles as you go along. CONTRAST is a world seen through the eyes of little Didi who isn’t going through the best of times. Don’t take my word for it though, hear it directly from the people of Compulsion Games.
CONTRAST is available mid-November on Xbox Live Arcade.
