You’ve probably experienced much of what makes Elite Dangerous great. Well, it’s about to get even greater with the arrival of Elite Dangerous: Horizons.
Arriving on Xbox One in Q2 2016 (so any minute now really!), Horizons is the new season of major gameplay expansions for the epic Elite Dangerous. With new game changing features including Planetary Landings, Loot and Crafting, Multicrew cooperative play and much more, now could well be the time to jump back into space.
You’ll get to journey from space to surface and land, as you explore accurately simulated planets and moons throughout Elite Dangerous’ full-scale Milky Way galaxy. To do so, you’ll get behind the wheel of the all-terrain SRV Surface Recon Vehicle, giving the opportunity to venture out and explore even more of the Elite universe.
But that’s not all, Elite Dangerous: Horizons will also bring in The Engineers. A sweeping, game-changing update that brings even more personality and personalization to Elite Dangerous, it’ll be putting a face to every mission and adding a range of customization and crafting options that will make every ship in the Elite Dangerous galaxy unique.
With future Elite Dangerous updates dropping simultaneously on PC and Xbox One, get into Horizons and you can expect to see some of the following real soon…
- Multicrew, allowing teams of players to assume roles aboard the same ship.
- Commander Creation, giving a unique appearance to players’ in-game avatars.
- Ship-Launched Fighters, allowing larger spacecraft to carry their own short-range fighter craft for attack and defense.
- And much more to be announced.
If you like the sound of all that, then getting involved in Horizons couldn’t be any easier. With all progress in the original game carried over into the new, you should have no concerns about upgrading when the time comes. We will of course tell you when that time is!
