Konami detail and date PES 2018 Data Pack 2, announce a myClub debut and establish a pro eSports league

-

It’s a busy old day for Konami, as today they have announced the full details and release date for the second Data Pack for PES 2018, alongside the debut of a worldwide superstar in myClub and chatting about establishing a professional eSports football league.

Kicking off with the Data Pack and it seems like Data Pack 2 will be arriving come November 16th 2017. Hitting Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PC for free, it’ll bring over 1000 new and updated thumbnail photos, new licensed kits, boots, updated faces and two new stadiums – Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and the Estadio Nacional de Chile.

But that’s not all and Konami have also collaborated with eFootball.Pro to create a new professional football eSports competition using the series. Whilst the best way of getting involved with some esports betting is via Betway online sports betting, Konami hope that the new international league will aim to attract players from around the world and will be broadcasted globally.

The important features are as follows:

  • Over 1000 new and updated thumbnail photos
  • 65 updated licensed kits
  • 9 new boots
  • Over 40 new updated faces, including Phillipe Coutinho, Gianluigi Donnarumma and André Silva
  • New partner club backboards for cutscenes in Master League, including Arsenal, AC Milan and CR Vasco Da Gama

For these updates to take hold and improve the PES experience is one thing, but when you find out that they are arriving at the same time as a worldwide legend is another, and Konami have also detailed the arriving of David Beckham as a myClub Legend. Beckham became part of the PES family earlier this year when it was announced he was joining PES 2018’s roster of Legend players, and his addition to myClub reflects the theme for PES 2018 – “Where Legends are Made”.

“The goal is to drive all that makes traditional football the king of sports, towards electronic football, towards eSports,” stated Gerard Piqué, eFootball.Pro President and FC Barcelona player. “We want to bind the best of both worlds to bring the public a new entertainment model that they love since the first day.”

“KONAMI has always been committed to delivering quality entertainment experiences to its customers, and eSports is an opportune market for reaching a growing audience,” said Hideki Hayakawa, CEO of Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. “eFootball.Pro’s unique position in eSports, combined with its strong football leadership, will allow us to deliver a fresh way for customers to enjoy our products. We are thrilled to collaborate with eFootball.Pro.”

Further details about the competition will be unveiled soon, and you can be sure that Betway will be at the forefront of the action.

If you haven’t yet played PES 2018, then you’re missing out on a top notch footballing experience. Make sure you hit up our full review of the Xbox One version for all the details.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
