The sequel will be with us very shortly, but before it arrives, those clever Xbox One owners who hold an Xbox Live Gold subscription can grab the first game for free – Project Cars for nothing, anyone?

Project Cars threatened to take on the might of Forza when it first released on console, promising the ultimate driving journey. It never really hit the heights of the competition, but certainly wasn’t a bad way of spending our time, delivering an experience that most petrolheads could enjoy. With all manner of race craft to get behind the wheel of, numerous tracks to race around and plenty of customisable options in place, if you’re looking for a new racer, then you could do worse – especially now that it is free to download.

Of course, freebies only come along to those who deserve it and you’ll need to be the proud holder of a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription should you wish to grab a bit of the love. If you do, then you’ve got until the middle of March to get your download in.

If you wish to know more about the free Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles being given away with the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for February 2017, then we’ve taken an in depth look. We’ve also got a full review of Project Cars too 🙂

About The Author
Neil Watton (neil363)

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360’s life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One. A massive racing fan, Forza 4 was the daddy of all Xbox titles but Forza Horizon 3 now trumps that. Online first person shooters are my hell….probably because my reactions are so poor, but give me a little Indie title and I’ll be in heaven.
