Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale bargains should you pick up? – 18th July 2017

-

With the excitement of E3 having now passed, and everyone looking towards the months of September and October for the year’s next big releases, it’s fair to say that things are looking rather quiet on the Xbox front at the moment. Nevertheless, the weekly deals continue to roll round and today sees the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 18th-24th July 2017 looking to bring something fresh to our consoles – all at a wallet friendly price.

Which are the best and worst of the bargains on offer? Here are our thoughts on which of this week’s deals you should pick up and which ones should be best ignored.

If you like the look of anything below, make sure you hit up CDKeys and grab some of their cheap Xbox Live credit to ensure your money goes even further.

GrabBlue Rider – 70% off – £2.40

With nine unique bosses and some brutally hard gameplay throughout, Blue Rider is an arcade shoot’em up that pits players against anything that moves.

This tough as nails adventure is certainly not one for the faint hearted, with bullet hell gameplay riddling players at every turn, so it will take something special to get to the end, especially with all those explosions.

But for just £2.40, you really should give Blue Rider a go. You’ll rarely see anything cheaper!

GrabOlliOlli2 XL Edition – 75% off – £2.50

With all new hills, ramps and multiple routes, OlliOlli2 XL Edition brings more of the exciting gameplay that we grew to love in the original and expands on them with a new and improved combo system featuring full Manuals, Reverts, Revert-Manuals and Grind-Switching. This gives players more control and expression than ever before.

If you’re a fan of the original platforming sensation, this is definitely something you should be looking to grab, especially at such a great price.

GrabZombie Driver Ultimate Edition – 80% off – £2.40

Zombie games may have oversaturated the market in recent years, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t happy to see some that break the mould a little. Zombie Driver Ultimate Edition is certainly a change from the usual shambling undead offerings that arrive on our screens.

Zombie Driver Ultimate Edition has players taking part in a Blood Race Tournament, and saving survivors whilst utilising heavily modified cars designed to put the Undead back in their graves. Whilst it may not be the most popular zombie game on the market, there is no denying just how much fun can be had with Zombie Driver Ultimate Edition.

For just £2.40 this is a steal that everyone needs in their collection.

LeaveFlatOut 4: Total Insanity – 50% off – £22.50

Destruction Derby-esque games have been on a bit of a break from our consoles in recent years, but that doesn’t mean we don’t crave more of the same vehicular destruction we used to have.

FlatOut 4 looked to bring the first destructive racing game to the current generation, but unfortunately it couldn’t muster the same crazy gameplay fans had come to love… instead offered nothing but disappointment for fans of the series.

Although half price certainly looks to be a more respectable price for such a seemingly unpolished game, there is much more of a price drop needed before we recommend anyone to take a shot at this one.

So, there we have it another week of deals, and our thoughts on which ones you should be looking to dive into. Do you agree with our choices? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels.
