Stick the word ‘Tactics’ into your title and you’re sure to find appeal from a huge range of player. That’s what Humble Games are doing as their strategic role-player emerges onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and through Xbox Game Pass.
Created by the EndlessFluff Games team, with Humble Games handling the publishing side (something they excel at), Fae Tactics is the latest tactics title to hit the Xbox world, running alongside the likes of Gears Tactics and Steam Tactics.
Having previously been available on PC, the move to console is an intriguing one, if only as game pad use isn’t something that is usually associated with any Tactics title. Those lines are blurring though and it’s great to see Xbox folk given the chance to join a young magician – Peony – as she undertakes a journey full of mystery, danger and the need to learn the humble art of spellcasting.
Priced at £16.74 or available as a free download for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, Fae Tactics will see you needing to hlep Peony save the world. Standard video game stuff, eh? Well yes, but with a rather lovely little art style, this single player affair promises much – a colourful cast of characters, the chance to build those into an all-conquering team and the opportunity to fully outsmart your enemies in hope of taking home victory, for three.
If you fancy a bit of what Fae Tactics is offering up and haven’t previously played it on PC (or even if you have!), you’ll find the Xbox download you need present on the Xbox Store. Go and get it moving towards your digital library right now.

Game Description:
In Fae Tactics, follow a young magic user named Peony on her journey across a vibrant world full of mystery and danger. Summon allies, cast spells, and befriend a motley crew of characters as you dive into the growing conflicts between man and magical beings known as fae. Story Long ago the world of magic was separated from the natural world by Elemental Gates. One day the seal on the gates was broken, flooding the natural world with magical fae creatures once thought to be myths. The worlds merging was imperfect and much of the land was torn apart. The devastation claimed the lives of most of the population of natural and fae creatures alike. Those that survived have forged new lives in the ruins of the old worlds, but growing tension between man and fae threaten to finish what began with the opening of the gates.
