Deliver Us The Moon gets optimised for Xbox Series X|S and PS5

deliver us the moon next gen

All eyes may be on the upcoming September launch of the Deliver Us Mars sequel, but today it’s about looking back – and forward – to Deliver Us The Moon, as the astronomical project takes one giant leap to Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

Having previously released as a native Xbox One and PS4 game, Wired Productions and KeokeN Interactive’s award-winning sci-fi thriller takes a step out onto the new, next-gen consoles of Xbox Series X|S and PS5. Of course, you’ve been able to play the game on those consoles previously, but now you’ve getting the full shebang; fully remastered 4K visuals, celestial ray-traced shadows and reflections, faster loading times and some bits and bobs that are PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Deliver Us The Moon looked great anyways, but with the power of Xbox Series X|S and PS5 behind it, those visuals are going to positively gleam as you set course for space, shooting off into the darkness. If you’re a bit of a pixel peeper who just so happens to fancy attempting to save humanity from extinction, Deliver Us The Moon on the new consoles is going to cover the bases you need.

It’ll be just as haunting as previous, but now, it’ll just be all that bit more ‘real’, more so if you’re PlayStation 5’d up, as that version will also come with adaptive trigger and controller speaker delights. Oh, and that PlayStation side of the gaming scene will also see a physical version rolling out with a double-sided folded poster, a reversible sleeve, a stellar set of stickers, plus a digital download of the Deliver Us The Moon EP.. But seriously, who buys physical in this day and age!?

Whether you’ve taken in the sci-fi epic previously or have been waiting for the new-gen goodies to hit home, now is as good a time as any to Deliver Us The Moon. Not only are we being promised much with the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 upgrade, but it’ll put us in good stead for the upcoming launch of Deliver Us Mars.

Key next-gen upgrades include:

  • Fully remastered in 4K with ray-traced shadows and reflections
  • Jump into the action quicker with faster loading times
  • Adaptive triggers and controller speakers (PlayStation 5)
  • PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners upgrade to Next Gen version for free

You’ll find the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 version of Deliver Us The Moon available from the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store right about now. If you had the game previously on Xbox One and PS4, you’ll find it upgrades for free.

What’s not to like? Go and blast off with the power of the new-gen of consoles. Stay tuned for our full review of Deliver Us The Moon on Xbox Series X|S soon too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
