NASCAR Heat 5 August Pack brings 59 new paint schemes to the racetrack

We warned you upon release and hammered home the message upon arrival of the July Pack. Yep, should you embark on a journey with NASCAR Heat 5 then you should expect a whole host of DLC packs to arrive at your door, kicking, screaming and begging for you to open your wallet. Once again we see that marketing strategy take hold with the arrival of the second DLC pack for NASCAR Heat 5 as the August Pack drops – all within a few weeks of the launch of the game.

You should know what to expect with NASCAR Heat games, for past history has proven that the addition of various liveries via overpriced DLC packs is the way it will go. And that is true with NASCAR Heat 5 too, a game that only released back in July but has already had two livery packs arrive; two livery packs which a horrendously priced.

If going around in circles is your bag, then NASCAR Heat 5 provides it, with ample racing opportunities for fans of the sport to enjoy. But much like the drop of the July Pack back in, well, July, here and now as we reach the conclusion of August, we see yet another skin pack arrive. The NASCAR Heat 5 August Pack will set you back a cool £10.74, and will in return provide you with 59 new paint schemes for your cars, plus a handful of Challenges to enjoy. And yes, if that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s pretty much the same deal as was provided in July.

Granted, if you’re liking what NASCAR Heat 5 delivers then chances are you would have picked up the 2020 Season Pass, for that brings together both of these packs and two more for one easier to handle price. But still, £10+ for a few skins, just a month after being asked for the same cash outlay? It’s not something that sits particularly easy here.

Anyways, if you do decide to lump in with the NASCAR Heat 5 August Pack, then what should you expect to find? Well, there are 40 new paint schemes from the NASCAR Cup Series, 9 new ones from the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and a further 10 from the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. And if you’re not interested in fancy colours, the additional 3 Challenges that are included will be more enjoyable.

These paint schemes follow the following teams:

  • NCS: John Hunter Nemecheck, SCAG Power Equipment Real Heroes Ryan Newman, Oscar Meyer #FrontYardCookOut Scheme Kyle Busch, M&M Mini
  • NXS: Daniel Hemric, Alsco Noah Gragson, Plan B Sales Tommy Joe Martins, Market Rebellion
  • NGROTS: Spencer Boyd, American Pavement Chase Elliott, Hendrickcars.com Austin Hill, United Rentals

So, ready to open the wallet and splash the cash on the NASCAR Heat 5 August Pack? Get over to the Xbox Store (or your favoured store if you’re not on Xbox One) and enjoy what it brings. But as we’ve mentioned previously, expect another pack, for a similar price, with pretty much the same livery deal going on, as September rolls on.
