Back in 2015 Slightly Mad Studios rocked up onto the racing scene to deliver a new experience to gamers. It’s fair to say that the original game didn’t go down particularly well. That was however followed up by a Game of the Year edition in 2016, and then covered with a full sequel a year later with the lovely Project CARS 2. Still though Slightly Mad couldn’t quite cover off the fast pace of the Forza series. Now it’s time for them to try again, with Project CARS 3 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC – a game that should be in the best in the series.
Available to purchase and download right now ahead of official launch on 28th August, Project CARS 3 is here in Deluxe Edition form, giving players a head start on the competition alongside access to the – now standard – Season Pass. Priced at £74.99, this Deluxe Edition is the best way for fans of the game to get involved, with them not just getting access to the usual 200+ cars, 120+ tracks and host of customisation and upgrade opportunities, but also the four additional packs that will arrive in the Season Pass.
If you’re not bothered by that latter bit, and can hold on tight for a little bit, the Standard Edition of Project CARS 3 can be yours for £49.99 from the 28th. You’ll still get the same brilliant game – just not quite so much of the content that is promised later on.
However you decide to pick up Project CARS 3 matters not though. All versions will let you own the track as you attempt to move up the ranks in your quest of becoming the ultimate racing legend. It promises to deliver the ultimate driver journey – and our upcoming full review will be able to confirm whether or not it manages that.
With a deep career, many multiplayer options and the draw of daily challenges to keep you busy, there should be tons to enjoy with Slightly Mad Studios’ latest.
