Carnival Games takes the party to Xbox One, Switch and PS4 players this November

-

Best of 2025

There is always room for a new party game to arrive on the scene and with the holiday season fast approaching, news comes that Carnival Games will soon be hitting Xbox One and PS4.

2K have today announced that the next entry in the Carnival Games franchise will now also be coming to Xbox One and PS4, alongside a previously confirmed Nintendo Switch edition.

Coming in both digital and physical form, you’ll find the former dropping on to the usual digital stores on November 6th 2018 for £34.99, with the physical versions arriving on Switch on the same day, with Xbox One and PS4 editions coming a few weeks later on the 20th.

But what will Carnival Games bring? Well, much like a real-life country fair, it’ll give players of all ages and experience levels to enjoy classic games like ring toss (“Post Master”) and alley ball horse racing (“Roll-R-Derby”), as well as brand new attractions like drone racing (“Light Speed”) and cosmic bowling (“Cosmic Strike”).

These will be delivered across 4 uniquely themed alleys – Jungle Lane, Saturn Station, Vulture Gulch and Nuts & Bolts – with each and every game players delivering the chance to win tickets before redeeming them for new games and outfits for their customisable carnival guest characters.

Carnival Games promises to be fun for the entire family and can be played alone or with up to four players simultaneously.

Features include:

  • A FUN VARIETY OF CARNIVAL GAMES FOR EVERYONE: Like a real-life county fair, Carnival Games bursts with exciting mini-games that you can play over and over. Classic mini-games such as shooting basketballs (“Swish”) and taking down unfriendly clowns (“Clowning Around”) are joined by brand new attractions like flying drone racing (“Light Speed”) and cosmic bowling (“Cosmic Strike”). With 20 total games Carnival Games is a fantastic time for all.
  • A MULTIPLAYER PARTY: Bring your family and friends in on the fun for a true Carnival Games party. Up to 4 players can participate simultaneously, bumping up the level of excitement and competition in all 20 carnival mini-games.
  • PLAY, WIN, GET REWARDS: Play games, win tickets, and trade them in for new outfits for your carnival guest characters. Dress them up to match your style or be as wild as you can with wacky headgear, shirts and bottoms.

Well you be found enjoying the fun of the fair? Let us know in the comments!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
