Dofamine – more sci-fi puzzling on Xbox

There are obvious similarities with Portal (still the greatest game of all time?) and Q.U.B.E., but Dofamine releases on Xbox to provide a new take on the first person sci-fi puzzler. Are you ready to head into the labyrinth that awaits?

Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Dofamine launches to the console world via those at Whale Rock Games. It focuses on scientific research, on hidden connections, the most subtle of patterns. Mostly though, you’ll be left trying to work out what the hell is going on.

A seriously cheap price point

Priced at £3.29, there’s not much on the Xbox Store that is cheaper than Dofamine. When you consider a launch discount drops that down to £2.63, then it becomes even more appealing.

However, with that price, an expectation needs to be met. For us, we’d be hugely surprised if Dofamine is capable of playing with the big boys of the genre. Whether that is a good or bad thing though is up for debate. We’ll certainly check it out for review.

If you decide to drop into Dofamine on Xbox, then you’ll be treated to a first person puzzler that has you working your way through a research facility. There’s been some experimentation with the Higgs boson, and that means fun is ready to play out.

Tempted by the key features?

Honestly, the key feature list of Dofamine isn’t the lenghtiest we’ve ever come across, but pay up that small amount of cash and you’ll find a game that offers up…

  • Notes and puzzles
  • Interesting first-person story
  • Different locations
  • Amazing sound

To get involved in Dofamine, head to the Xbox Store. From there you can play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

As always, drop into the comments and let us know how you find it.

Dofamine on Xbox Game Description

Scientific research is not unlike the work of a detective. Revealing hidden connections and subtle patterns has a lot in common with untangling the web of meanings, studying causes, and predicting consequences. If one correctly combines blocks of data and determines their connectivity, one may eventually uncover the truth. But that truth and the explanation of everything that has happened may come as a shock to the one who finds it.

Dofamine is a first-person sci-fi puzzle game where the player must explore the labyrinth of riddles and investigate the apocalyptic event at the research facility following the experiments with the Higgs boson, or “the God particle”.
