I can hardly believe that it is already Series 32 of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in Forza Horizon 5, and with it dawns a whole new Series header – That of “Horizon Race Off”.
Now, I do like a race and so this fills my little heart with glee – hopefully that means we’ll see less Eventlabs and more racing. Plus, completing races in either the on road or off road categories will lead to us unlocking two exclusive cars – the Ford Mustang 24 or the Ford Raptor R.Get racing!
So, let’s dive into Horizon Race Off and see what is in store with the Weekly Challenges for Series 32 Summer. See you at the start line!
Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – What to Drive?
This week’s challenge gives us a choice of two Subarus – the 2008 Impreza or the 2013 BRZ. Depends on whether you want to race on or off road, I guess!
Pick your poison and we can then crack on.
Should you not have one in your garage, then they are available in the Autoshow, at 31,000 and 32,000 credits respectively.
Chapter 1 – Duel Blue
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.
Chapter 2 – Pitching Corners
Now we need to earn 6 stars at Drift Zones. Should be interesting given I chose an AWD Impreza… Still, if it’s good enough for K.Block Esq, it’s good enough for me.
Chapter 3 – At Your Best
Take a photo of your car. Pretty easy!
Chapter 4 – Test of Skill
Now we have to win either off road or an on road race in our car.
I have made two tunes that I hope can help – Impreza off road share name is “2008 B” with my GT, Red620Ti. Whilst the BRZ on road is : 139235813. Both are B Class 700 tunes.
Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 32.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.
The Trial, one Eventlab (yay), PR Stunts and no less than four Seasonal Championships this week!
The Trial – Young and Old
This week we need an A Class 800 Modern Sports Car, and there is a fair bit of choice.
I went for a Toyota GR Supra, and the share code is :984217186 .
The prize for managing to find people who actually want to race and don’t think they are playing dodgems (naming no names here) is a Lambo Urus.
Eventlab 1 – JOH CEE Presents – Take No Michi “Night Race”
Evo vs Impreza, tuned to B Class 700 is the theme here, and it is the Evo VIII MR i chose, share code : 141172186.
This is an okay track that is spoiled by poor signposting. It is very difficult to know where you are meant to go. And why does touching the fence at the edge of the track stop the car, every time?
The prize for completing this race is a Formentor from 2022.
PR Stunt 1 – Danger Sign – Mountain Top
We need an S2 Class car for this, and what better than a BMW X5M FE? Share code for mine is : 519084427.
We need to clear 540 m, which is also known as “a long way” in the trade. Hit the ramp at over 175 mph to do it.
Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.
Seasonal Championship 1 – Superpowered
We need to use a Super GT car, tuned to S1 Class 900 for this event, and as always I went with the Ferrari 812 Superfast. Why wouldn’t you? The share code for mine is : 261040765.
For winning out, we can take home a VW #1107 Bug. Mmm, slow!
Seasonal Championship 2 – A Rally Good Tour
Pun writers, I salute you.
Get behind the wheel of a Japanese Modern Rally car for this event, and the one we used for the Eventlab is ideal, as the class is, again, B Class 700.. Evo VIII MR i chose, share code : 141172186.
The prize for winning is a Pontiac Firebird from 1987, which makes it all worthwhile. Wonder if it will talk like K.I.T.T.?
Seasonal Championship 2 – Racing the Streets
Track Toys tuned to S1 Class 900 for this event, and so I went with a Ford Supervan 3, and the share code for mine is: 142867545. The brakes on this thing are unreal!
A ford Focus from 2003 is the prize. Yay?!?
Seasonal Championship 4 – A Good Sport
We need a Sport Utility Hero here, and the limit is B Class 700. What makes an SUV a hero, I wonder?
Anyway, I chose a stock Masertai Levants as it is practically the right level already, so save those credits.
For winning out, we can get a Chevy 150 Sedan.
Part 3: Other Challenges
There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 32 Summer. Horizon Arcade, Photos, Treasure Hunts – this week has it all! Even a bit of Eliminator to get involved in.
Photo Challenge – #UNCOVERED
We have to photograph an of road vehicle in Uxmal this week, so pick your fave and snap away.
Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece. The location is below.
The reward? A new car horn, Paint Spray.
Treasure Hunt – It Sounds Like a Golf
The clue this week reads “In the 50s, we looked to the stars and space for design inspiration. Take a space-age and look for the tool to see the bright night sky!”.
The photo shows a Corvette next to the Gran Telescopio, so this seems pretty easy, no? A 50’s car at the telescope? Well, it was that easy!
The chest contains 100FP. See below for its location.
Horizon Arcade – Mini Games
Complete all three rounds of any Horizon Arcade to win this week. Drift, wreckage, speed, chaos or air, pick your poison.
Take away a massive three points for doing this. Not as good as last week’s Series 31 Spring offering.
The Eliminator – Battle Royale
As is usual with these events, simply hide in a bush until there are fewer than 30 competitors remaining. After that, go for the win or get knocked out, your call! I like to get knocked out.
The prize for completing this is a Forzalink phrase “Preparing for Take-off”. Can’t wait to confuse people with that one!
Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Rockslide
Get in an S2 998 car and get sideways. As always in this situation, it is a Hoonigan Hoonicorn in stock trim I go for.
Hit the zone and score over 180,000 points to win.
A Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Seasonal Championship – The Grass is Greener
An S1 Class 900 Rally Monster for this event, and my fave car at the moment I think – the Hoonigan Escort RS1800, share code 264985022.
Completing the championship will get us a Renault Megane R.S. ‘18. Which is a tad slower…
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Orogrande Rush
Get ready to go in an S2 Class car, any S2 Class car, as you look to score over 160mph to win.
Sounds like a job for the Koenigsegg Agera Rs, share code : 109282883. Approach from the north for an easier time.
The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.
Seasonal Championship – From Strength to Strength
For this event, it is a Modern Muscle car, tuned to A Class 800 that we need. Step forward the Shelby Gt500 from 2013, Share code: 402868577.
For winning either solo or in a convoy, it is a Ford Bronco that we can win.
The rewards for Series 32 and Summer in Forza Horizon 5
With Series 32 just beginning, those new season reward cars are up for grabs. And they are the #2 Audi S1 for 80 points and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spiyder for 160. Start saving up!
Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 32 as well. There is River Scramble and Vista Del Mar Sprint, which does mean that there are only two to go at this month. Put in a clean lap in each to score 4 whole points towards the prize cars.
Grab enough points and Series 32 Summer also sees you given access to the exclusive McLaren Artura ‘23 for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Porsche Macan RR, a hard to find car apparently.
To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.
Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
