Back in 2005 the original Forza Motorsport rocked our racing world. Having arrived to the scene on the back of Project Gotham Racing, going up against PlayStation’s Gran Turismo in the process, it switched up how we looked at racing games forever. Back now it’s time to take it right back to the start, ditching the numbering system that has served well for a straight up return to Forza Motorsport on Xbox and PC. Is this the greatest racing game ever created?
How to play Forza Motorsport early
Available right now on Xbox Series X|S and PC is Forza Motorsport. From the usual Turn 10 Studios and Xbox Game Studios teams, this stops the sequential numbering of the series to run a standard name. But this is far from a standard racer. If you thought Forza Motorsport 7 was good, or that Forza Horizon 5 was an open-world winner, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Forza Motorsport is available via an early access period. At least, should you find the will within you to stump up the £89.99 asking price for the Premium Edition. It’s that which allows some five days early access. There’s also a Race Day Car Pack, the Car Pass, VIP membership and more. If you think that is a bit too much for your liking, you’ll need to hold tight until October 10th for the Standard Edition to arrive (£69.99 or through Game Pass), or that of the Deluxe Edition (base game and Car Pass).Â
Alternatively, grab the cheaper Forza Motorsport Premium Adds-Ons Bundle for £26.99 and combine that with Game Pass for the 5 days early access.
The fastest cars on earth
If you’re a hothead racer who likes nothing more than getting behind the wheel of the fastest cars on earth, then you’ll probably be opening that wallet as we speak. Do so and you’ll find a racer that has been honed over the years, with the Turn 10 team building on everything they have learnt from previous games in the series.
The most realistic world of motorsport yet, Forza Motorsport comes to town with everything you would expect, and then some. A career mode is in place, online events awaits, multiplayer racing is front and centre and the competition will be found to build, no matter where you race.

Our review of Forza Motorsport on Xbox Series X|S is coming soon, but we’re expecting high marks from this latest racer. Until those words arrive, you will find the Xbox Store sorting you out with the usual downloads you need.
Just remember, this is a new and improved Forza Motorsport and as such it is only playable on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Forza Motorsport is not playable on Xbox One.
