Lost in Tropics – coming to Xbox, PlayStation and Switch

Are you ready to to and survive on a paradise island? Lost in Tropics, now on PC, is coming to PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles.

A brand new survival experience that feeds in some roguelite elements, Lost in Tropics has been created by the one-man studio Lukas GameLabs. It will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, hopefully in 2024/2025, as well as on Nintendo and PlayStation. And if you can’t wait until then? Well, you can play it on PC through Steam right now.

In Lost in Tropics you find yourself stranded on a paradise island, left to face the ruthless elements and harsh nature. It’s here where a full-on survival game plays out, one with realistic combat mechanics amid elements of simulator, adventure and action.

Good old roguelite…

The game environment is based on roguelite mechanics, where failure means having to start over, and that means Lost in Tropics is going to be heavily influenced by randomly generated conditions. But further to that, it also offers a system of dynamically changing weather, which also directly affects the conditions. This makes each approach to the game slightly different.

With unpredictable gameplay and a world full of secrets waiting to be discovered, should you look to dive into Lost in Tropics then you’ll discover a range of different activities, all related to the struggle for survival on a paradisiacal but dangerous island.

You’ll need to get gathering too, as well as mastering the art of hunting, creating tools, developing skills and constructing shelters. And in order to survive, those tools will need to be used for hunting purposes. They’ll get upgraded as you go as well.

In Lost in Tropics, almost every decision you make will have a real significance on your chances of survival. Only then will hope be found in a hostile and ever-changing environment.

Key features

  • fight for survival on a paradise island;
  • hunt and collect resources;
  • discover the secrets of the island;
  • develop survival skills;
  • every decision matters.

Coming to console soon

Lost in Tropics is on PC through Steam right now. It’ll find room on console stores in 2024 or 2025, playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Will you be looking to play this one? Or will you be sticking with Stranded Deep? Let us know in the comments.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
