Slated for release in mid-October, Warriors Orochi 4 will seemingly be all about the characters - at least if the reveal from KOEI TECMO America is anything to go by!
E3 is over but the big news just keeps dropping, and today KOEI TECMO America have announced the full release date for the latest instalment in the one-versus-thousands action game series - Warriors Orochi 4.
Pinch, punch, it's the first of the month...and that means Xbox One owners get to save a huge amount as Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate gets stripped of its price tag thanks to the Games With Gold scheme.
Just like at one point every developer needed their own battle royale game, the trend now seems to be everyone wanting their own take on Monster Hunter. Step forward Wild Hearts from EA and KOEI TECMO, those responsible for Dynasty Warriors, Ninja Gaiden and FATAL FRAME: Maiden of Black Water to name but a few. And best of all, Wild Hearts is out today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Chivalry may not mean much to some people, but to many folk, especially in the medieval ages, the Chivalric Code was a great code of conduct around Europe, and the way of living one’s life. Nowadays things like this have long disappeared into the most distant throws of history, but in some parts of the world, similar lifestyles continue. One such way that’s relatively unknown in western culture is the way of Bushido - the Japanese term for the samurai way of life. Something which bears similarities, albeit minor ones, to the Chivalric Code.
When I first set eyes on Black & White Bushido this was the first thing that came to mind. Probably because other than the Dynasty Warriors and Warriors Orochi series, there isn’t really much else that really takes gaming to the deep and historic depths of Asian folklore. But could Black & White Bushido be the next fighting game to make the most of those many years of history, or was I hoping for too much.
Bladestorm was first released back in 2007 on the Xbox 360, so let’s take a look at Bladestorm : Nightmare the next-gen upgrade.
Koei Tecmo are well known for their Dynasty Warriors series, and while the promise of a much more strategic affair will appeal to a new audience there’s still plenty of the Dynasty Warriors style in Nightmare.
