Available today on Xbox One – with the Butcher’s Cut hitting PS4 in NA on 24th Oct and then Europe come 1st Nov – the serial-killing, block-shaped brain-strainer is the debut title from developer Blue Wizard Digital.
Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut features the incredible voice-over talents of Mark Meer, , who may be better known to you as Mass Effect’s Commander Shepard, and Derek Mears, who plays legendary killer Jason Voorhees in the 2009 reboot of Friday the 13th. But whilst it’s great to see those voice talents included, we really want to know about the gameplay found within.
Thankfully Slayaway Camp doesn’t look to skimp on that matter and after wowing the crowds over on PC and mobile, it now looks set to deliver the goods on console. But what is it we will be getting? Well, expect a killer puzzle game where you control Skullface, a psychotic slasher hell-bent on revenge. It’ll be up to you to slide this demented murderer around hundreds of isometric puzzle levels to squash, flay, and decapitate hapless victims, all whilst paying homage to the very best ’80s horror movies.
This special console-only Butcher’s Cut edition is the biggest and bloodiest version of Slayaway Camp ever created with more puzzles, more killers and much more gore.
