The Dark Pictures Anthology originally set out to deliver a series of new tales to Xbox One, PS4 and PC gamers, providing moments of true tension and utter terror throughout. The first game – Man of Medan – provided that, but now it’s time to look forward to what the next chapter can deliver. Little Hope will be arriving on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with an October release date now confirmed.

The date you are looking for is October 30th 2020, as that is when Bandai Namco will be pushing out The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope to gamers.

The latest game in The Dark Pictures Anthology, Little Hope will once again work for single players, or those who wish to take in the adventure with another, through a unique two-player online shared story, or with up to five others via the couch-friendly movie night mode.

Little Hope will see you playing through things as a groupl of four students, trapped by a mysterious fog in the abandoned town of Little Hope. It is here where the students and their professor search desperately for a means of escape whilst visions from the town’s gruesome and sinister past haunt them from the shadows. In order to stay alive, they must uncover the mysteries behind these dark apparitions before evil forces drag each of their souls to hell!

That October release date should be something many are looking forward to. If you’re one of those who couldn’t get enough of Man of Medan and are on the march for the next chapter, then Little Hope will be available to you in a few different flavours. The Standard Edition does as it says on the tin, whilst Limited and Collector’s Editions will bring…

  • The Limited-Edition Bundle – only available at participating retailers, includes Little Hope & Man of Medan games, a Dark Pictures Cloth Map, two map pins and a Steelcase (with 4 slots) all at a special price
  • The Collector’s Edition – includes the Little Hope game, a Dark Pictures Cloth Map, two map pins, a Steelcase (with 4 slots) and a replica of Mary’s 1692 poppet. This edition is exclusive to the BNEE E-commerce Store

Getting your money in early with a pre-order will also see you provided access to The Curator’s Cut, bringing new scenes in addition to the theatrical cut and different playable characters with choices and outcomes. Let us know in the comments if you’ll be working through life with Little Hope.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
