Train Sim World 4 is a brilliant railway simulator, allowing players to ride a whole host of the finest tracks of the world. And now those same players can take to the new London Overground Suffragette line.
If you have a copy of Train Sim World 4 in your digital library on Xbox, PlayStation or PC, then you can now take in some new content – the newly named London Overground Suffragette line. It comes about via the Train Sim World 4: London Overground Suffragette line: Gospel Oak – Barking Riverside route (bit of a mouthful, but hey!), with the Class 710 Aventra coming into play too.
We’ll admit, we’re not totally up to speed with the latest addition to the London rail network, but if you’re one of the many who find love in the railways, then you should be super excited to see this addition.
The Suffragette line – now in Train Sim World 4
That’s because fans of the TfL network are now able to take control of one of London’s newest trains with the release of the London Overground Suffragette line: Gospel Oak – Barking Riverside route Add-on for Train Sim World 4.
150 years in the making; the Gospel Oak to Barking Line was happenstance-constructed through the means of multiple companies building adjacent lines. As links, junctions and various termini were built and changed, this meandering route through no less than 7 of North & East London’s boroughs took shape as a vital strategic railway. Having spent years with an avid community following, the route became affectionately known locally as the ‘GOBLIN’, a portmanteau of Gospel Oak – Barking Line.
In February 2024 it was announced that the route would be known the Suffragette line as part of TfL plans to name all of the London Overground routes to make the network easier for customers to navigate. Once rebranding is complete later this year it will be known as the Suffragette line, in recognition of how the early 20th century working-class movement in the East End, paved the way for women’s rights – empowering women to have a significant impact on society, in the past, present and will continue to do in the future.
Train Sim World 4 players will be able to enter the cab and run busy services between Gospel Oak in north London, to Barking and Barking Riverside, where a new station has been built to accommodate the growing development on the north bank of the River Thames. Along the way, virtual drivers will pass through Harringay, Tottenham, Walthamstow and Leytonstone crossing over and under other lines within Greater London’s railway network.

Train Sim World 4: London Overground Suffragette line: Gospel Oak – Barking Riverside Description
150 years in the making; the Gospel Oak – Barking Line was constructed by multiple companies building adjacent lines. As links, junctions and various termini were built and changed, this route through no less than 7 of North & East London’s boroughs took shape as a vital strategic railway, albeit not a well looked after one. Transport for London (TfL) took the line under their wing in 2007 when London Overground was launched to transform it into a line fit for the future. It is now an electrified, high density passenger route, making use of the new Class 710 Aventra. In 2024, the route was officially named the Suffragette line. In Train Sim World 4, become something of a London Overground driver yourself and get stuck-in weaving through the London boroughs serving the dozen original stations, as well as the brand new 2.8-mile extension to Barking Riverside. An Aventra Adventure awaits!
