Got yourself a Game Pass subscription for Xbox or PC? You’re in for a good old time today as 2 new games hit the service as Day One debutants. And they are playable today!
Anyone with a Game Pass subscription will know that, in order to keep things fresh, the roster of games continually changes. We lose some, we gain some, but today it’s all about the latter as a couple of new games land, across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The latest additions to the Game Pass service are that of MLB The Show 24 and Lightyear Frontier.
MLB The Show 24
MLB The Show 24 is the latest in the long running baseball sim from the Sony San Diego team. Yep, Sony and Microsoft are jumping into bed together for this one, with play on Game Pass today.
The Standard Edition of MLB The Show 24 is what you’ll find on Game Pass. But of course, a recent early access launch through two premium editions is also possible. If you’ve already paid out for that, then continue to crack on. If not, now’s the time to get your download in.
In MLB The Show 24 it’s time to prove your worth on the field. It comes with pretty much everything you would expect of the series, following on from some brilliance of MLB The Show 23 and MLB The Show 22 in recent years. Lightyear Frontier
Hotly anticipated is Lightyear Frontier. Again, a Day One Game Pass debut title, this one works in Game Preview/Early Access vibes for good measure. That does mean things may change in the weeks and months ahead, and you shouldn’t expect a full game release any time soon. But if you wish to help the dev team at FRAME BREAK and Amplifier Studio turn Lightyear Frontier into something special, you can do so.
Lightyear Frontier is an open-world farmer like no other – in that you’ll be utilising customisable mechs for all the hard work. That should allow you to live the stress-free life, no?
Mechs aside, this looks to be a cracking addition to the farming scene. It’s one we cannot wait to get involved in and you should probably feel the same. A download of Lightyear Frontier on Xbox Series X|S or PC (no Xbox One play for this one) can be grabbed today.
What’s next up for Game Pass?
As we come to the end of March, expect some more changes to the games available in your Game Pass subscription.
As is standard, the last day of the month sees a few games shifting out of the service, as it gets ready for April additions.
