Sony and Microsoft combine as MLB The Show 24 swings for the fences

It doesn’t matter which side of the format wars fence you sit on – today you’re going to be swinging for them, as Sony and Microsoft join as one with release of MLB The Show 24 on Xbox and PlayStation.

MLB The Show 24 is the latest in the long line of batters from Sony’s San Diego Studio, as they give players the chance to take to the field and prove themselves in the cut throat world of baseball.

Officially, MLB The Show 24 doesn’t ‘release’ until March 19th 2024, via a Standard Edition of the game. But we all know that ‘official release dates’ pretty much mean nothing in the grand AAA scheme of things, with pre-order bonuses, early access and uber expensive Deluxe and Ultimate editions taking hold. That’s the case here and now with The Show 24 – if you have purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of MVP Edition, you can get playing now. That’s RIGHT NOW!

In MLB The Show 24 you’ll be left to prove yourself on the world stage as you work your way through minors to the big leagues, attempting to make it at the very top. With legends of the sport present, there should be no reason why you can’t be called a World Series champion. 

Of course, The Show 24 should allow San Diego Studio to utilise all their knowledge from past games, building on it for the greatest version yet. We’ve reviewed both MLB The Show 22 and MLB The Show 23 (hold tight for some 24 thoughts) and have loved both games. Should be the same here, no?
