Zoo Tycoon first hit Xbox One way back in 2013, alongside an Xbox 360 version, to ensure all those who had jumped on board with the launch of Xbox One and Kinect 2.0 had something to mess around with. Kinect features were plentiful, and kids the world over absolutely adored getting hands on with the wonders of the zoo. Now though, some four years later, and Kinect is pretty much dead in the water, but technology has also moved on ten-fold and that has enabled the Ultimate Animal Collection edition of Zoo Tycoon to become a reality.
Available right now for just £19.99, Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Animal Collection lets you go wild with the ultimate zoo building experience. With more than 200 stunning animals to add to multiple enclosures, and up to four players being given the chance to team up over Xbox Live in order to create the biggest and best zoo the world has ever seen, if you didn’t get involved first time round, then you really should be now.
Make sure you hit up our original review of Zoo Tycoon from way back in 2013, and should you jump into the zoo building madness and need a helpful hand, we’ve also got a full list of walkthrough videos which will help you hunt down and discover each and every one of the hidden coins found within.
The Microsoft Store will allow you to get hands on with the Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Animal Collection. Let us know in the comments below if that is something you’ll be doing.

What I would like to know is if you own the original will you get a free update to the Ultimate Animal Collection? If not will Microsoft release a DLC Expansion Pack for the original? I really don’t see why a person would have to go and purchase the game again at full price just to get a couple of extras
The original game is still sitting pretty on the Store at £44.99. This Ultimate Collection will only set you back £19.99 so you wouldn’t be paying full price.
I’m from South Africa and the Ultimate Animal Collection is more expensive than the original
So this is a fully stand alone version of the exact same game just with more animals added? Doesn’t sound too appealing even at £20… unless there is more to it than that? It does mention ‘fully-remastered’ but what does that mean? I’ve heard of re-mastering games from an old system for a new one but not from the exact same machine it was already running on!
