Beyond Doors tests the Xbox mind

Portals, doorways, note collecting, spikes. Beyond Doors has pretty much everything that you would expect of a simple. but complex, platformer. It comes to Xbox with a great price too.

From the Old School Vibes team is Beyond Doors. a humble platformer, you’ll be left to drop into the shoes of Caleb, a guy who has been hit with work burnout. It’s here where he finds himself trying to work through a mystical dimension, one no doubt fuelled by his inner mind.

Beyond Doors puzzles away

Priced at £4.19, Beyond Doors on Xbox probably won’t be considered in end of year lists, but what it does seem to do, it looks to do well. Leaping from platform to platform, you’ll need to guide Caleb in hope of collecting musical notes, moving through portals and hitting up doorways like there is no tomorrow. Do so, and old Caleb may well find a way out of that burnout life.

If you’re in the market for something that will test your mind, then we’d urge you to hit up the Xbox Store. It’s there where you’ll find Beyond Doors, playable across both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Perhaps it won’t have enough about it to go up against the like of Portal. But it feels like it should provide a decent enough playthough all the same.

Stick around for our review. But if you do play this one, let us know about it. The comments are below.
