88 Heroes swoops in to save the day on Xbox One

-

When no one else is available and the despicable Dr. H8 wreaks havoc on Earth, there’s only one group you can call… the 88 Heroes!

The 88 Heroes really are the ‘last resort’ option in a crisis; a group consisting of the weirdest, dumbest and definitely the most pointless superheroes ever known. Dr. H8 is holding the Earth to ransom, threatening to wipe it out with 88 thermo-nuclear warheads unless he’s paid $88 octillion within just 88 minutes. The only way to stop him is to take control of these no-hope heroes to try and complete 88 levels, with just 88 seconds on the clock for each, and save the day. Oh dear… we’re doomed!

Should you want to give this ragtag bunch of unique heroes a chance, 88 Heroes is now available on Xbox One for £11.99, so get yourself over to the Xbox Games Store. The Doomsday clock is already ticking, but if you can’t make your mind up just yet, then give our review a quick read first.

Game Description:

It’s 8:08am on 8th August 1988, and the evil Dr. H8 has brought the world to the brink of total annihilation! His demands are simple: pay $88 octillion within 88 minutes, or Dr. H8’s 88 thermo-nuclear warheads will wipe out the Earth! But who will save us in our time of need? The bravest? The boldest? No… the 88 Heroes! Prepare to infiltrate Dr. H8’s lair with the help of the strangest, dumbest and most pointless superheroes ever! With 88 levels between you and Dr. H8, only 88 seconds to complete each level and the 88-minute Doomsday clock already ticking, lead 88 unique characters – each with their own special abilities – on a platform-hopping, enemy-smashing, danger-dodging mission to save Earth from complete destruction! Can the 88 Heroes save the day? Let’s hope so! They called the best, but the best were busy…
