FIFA Ultimate Team Team of the Week (TOTW) – January 29th

-

Each week EA Sports creates a FIFA Ultimate Team Team of the Week (TOTW) based on players in the real world that are in form for that week. Take a look at the team that will be available for one week from 29th January at 6pm (UK time).

Gerard Piqué is blessed with height, a guaranteed threat for Barcelona on set pieces but even when the ball fell to his feet from a corner he managed a composed finish. Unlike the stereotypical defender he is technically gifted on the ball and got his team the opening goal to help them get the win over Malaga to remain in first position in La Liga.

Arda Turan finds himself in an Atletico Madrid team that are currently hot on the heels of Barca. His two goals that most would call simple tap-ins were the difference in a 4-2 win to draw level on points at the top. I’m sure he’ll hope to continue this form with Real Madrid closing in from behind, Atletico need everyone firing on all cylinders.

Alessandro Del Piero, the former Juve legend, now plying his trade in the A-League helped Sydney FC thrash Melbourne victory 5-0. Arguably there could have been a few of his team mates in the TOTW too but his two goals including one from the penalty spot shows there’s still plenty in the tank for Del Piero.

What do you make of the choices? Anyone you think deserved a place? I for one think they should have taken the FA Cup into account, Aguero was a certainty in my opinion. Feel free to send us your thoughts on Twitter @TheXboxHub
