Happy to take home second place? Not in Wreckfest you won’t be, as the upcoming racer is all about winning – something which is highlighted in the latest trailer to be released!

Coming to Xbox One and PS4 on August 27th – with a 24 hour head start being offered to those who drop the big cash – Wreckfest has no time for losers, instead focusing its time on epic crashes, neck-to-neck fights over the finish line and brand-new ways to see metal. bend. It’s a racer that will deal in once-in-a-lifetime moments, with the true-to-life physics simulation which holds it all together lovingly crafted by the legendary development team at Bugbear – you know, they behind FlatOut 1, 2 and Ultimate Carnage.

If you’re up for burning some rubber and shredding some metal in the ultimate driving playground, then Wreckfest will be the game for you, as awesome Cars get patched-together in order to ooze style! From old American heavy-hitters to agile Europeans and fun Asians, you won’t find anything like this in other games.

But Wreckfest lets you stamp your mark too, with meaningful customisations that will allow you to change not only the look of your cars, but also upgrade their body armour. That is something which will come to the fore in the multiplayer options, as you wreck your friends online and take racing to the limit.

You can check out the latest trailer for Wreckfest down below, and once you’ve given it a little watch, will no doubt be tempted by the different versions on offer. Coming in both digital and physical form the Standard Edition is your base game, while the Deluxe Edition (£49.99) drops in the Season Pass which grants access to 20 new cars, 20 special roof decorations and additional car customisation options such as armour, rims and more. This new content will be released step by step after the release, along with free content updates. It is this latter edition which also lets you in on the action from the 26th August 2019. Get your cash in early too and you’ll get access to the exclusive Bandit Ripper V8 racer.

And while we are mostly focused on the Xbox and PS4 side of things, existing owners of Wreckfest on PC will also get some goodies when the console version launches – namely a big free update, including:

  • 3 entirely new tracks and 1 new derby arena
  • 3 new crazy challenge vehicles
  • 1 new reward car for finishing the career
  • New & improved career events
  • Several new paint jobs for existing vehicles
  • Additional daytimes for all tracks
  • … and some more cool stuff!

Get ready for some madness as Wreckfest is fast approaching! Just remember, there is no place for a loser in this carnage-fuelled racer.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
