After a quiet start to the year, some of the first big releases are almost upon us, but whilst we can all appreciate the excitement for new releases, there’s nothing quite as satisfying as stumbling across a classic for a bargain price. With the weekly Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale refreshed for another week, let’s take a look at this week’s offers to see what we should be looking to add to our collection.
These are the best and worst of the deals on offer between the 23rd – 29th January 2018.
Grab – Slain: Back From Hell – 70% off – £3.60
Heavy metal action, a beautiful 16-bit-style design, platform-based combat and plenty of enemies to put to the sword along the way. Slain: Back From Hell is certainly an enticing one for those wanting a little action to kickstart their week.
Whilst It may not have been the most popular game when it initially released, Slain: Back From Hell is a popular hit amongst the streaming community and a great game for anyone who enjoys games designed with the classic Castlevania inspiration. If you’re after something that will put your skill to the test, providing a memorable experience in the process, there isn’t much you’ll find disappointing with Slain.
And it’ll cost you under four quid too. Need I say more?
Grab – Seasons After Fall – 75% off – £4.00
If you’re a fan of puzzle platforming, then you can bet you won’t find many more tempting than Seasons After Fall.
Througout the game, players can’t die or lose, and there are no real ‘enemies’ to speak of. Instead the main objective is figuring out how to get to the next area. Doing this will require environmental manipulation and a changing of the seasons to help you cross the lakes and other challenging obstacles that get in the way of you’re furry, foxy friend.
If you’re looking for challenge, then you’re in the right place, and with Seasons After Fall already proving a hit with those who’ve jumped in already, there is no reason to scoff at just £4 for such a fantastic game.
Leave – STAR WARS Battlefront II – 40% off – £35.99
If this had been an offer that was presented to us a few months back, I’d probably tell you to think about it, but given the length of time STAR WARS Battlefront II has been with us now, there is no way to justify paying such a price when you’ll find it lurking in the EA Access Vault for a free download sooner or later.
If you’re a huge STAR WARS fan, then chances are you’ve already picked it up, and whilst I can attest for it not being as terrible as many make out, it’s certainly not worth splashing over thirty quid on either.
So, there we have it, another week, and this time we have some incredible games available for some super low prices. Will you be diving in to any of our recommendations? Do you agree with our choices? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels.
Before you go, don’t forget to head on over to CDkeys to pick up some super cheap Xbox Live credit to help spread the costs a little further this week.
