Become The Hunter as The Falconeer gets new DLC and Game Pass inclusion

the falconeer the hunter

We only saw Wired Productions and Tomas Sala release The Falconeer on to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in November, accompanying the launch of the next-gen consoles into the world. Already though we’re finding the game fly high into Xbox Game Pass, as a new The Hunter DLC pack joins the aerial fight.

First things first and The Falconeer is now part of Xbox Game Pass, and so that means if you’re one of the millions of Game Pass subscribers making the most of Microsoft’s excellent service, you’ll be able to soar up into the skies as The Falconeer, harnessing the powers of a powerful Warbird. It’s an adventure like few others, seeing you dive, roll, dodge and twist to gain an advantage in the skies.

Our full review of The Falconeer went live around launch and told of how the game provides some remarkable moments, mostly with a marvellous world design and gorgeous visuals. It’s not without issue though – notably in the form of repetitive gameplay and, strangely, some ho-hum combat. But hey, if you didn’t purchase it first time around and are now ready for Game Pass, it’s certainly time to get involved.

Alongside the move of The Falconeer into Game Pass though comes a whole new DLC pack – a rather cheap pack if we’re honest with the arrival of The Hunter. Costing just £1.69, this will see you jumping aboard a new feathered serpent, one that is looking to unleash a fiery vengeance on all. This pack also drops in a new Mongres Hunter player class, the flyable Ormir dragon, new pyro pot guided rockets from the get-go and even more outfits for your player avatar.

Throw in a huge number of quality of life improvements, balancing adjustments, map features and an improved player model, and you’ve got a ton of new exciting content in The Falconeer.

Tomas Sala said, “I’ve loved reading what both press, and consumers have to say about The Falconeer, and their feedback is inspiring. Some have called The Falconeer uncompromising, but they haven’t seen what’s coming next. You can follow these updates as I’m working on them on @falconeerdev, but be warned, I’m working on some interesting and crazy stuff, and you’ll never guess what’s in the pipeline.”

Get over to the Xbox Store to grab the new The Hunter content and a copy of The Falconeer on Xbox One or Xbox Series X through Xbox Game Pass.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
