We’ll admit that when we first noticed Green Soldiers Heroes was coming to Xbox, we couldn’t have been less excited. Perhaps it was the slightly dodgy name, perhaps the premise. But we’ve watched the trailer that accompanies release and, honestly, we’re sold. It just so happens that the promise of easy and fun achievements help push it a little bit more.

Available right this second on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is Green Soldiers Heroes from DERIK DF. This one is optimised for Series X|S too, even if first thoughts may seem otherwise.
Launching onto Xbox, we’re not sure this is going to ba a Game of the Year contender, but what is here looks fun enough. You see, this one placing you in the shoes of the finest soldiers of the land. Nothing new there, eh? Well, no, but the difference is found in the title. Green Soldiers Heroes may not make too much sense, but it does hint that something has gone awry in the creation process of these soldiers. And that is indeed the case.
What plays out is a third person shooter, one in which your main – and probably only – goal is to take down anything that gets in your way. With weapons to upgrade and – wait for it – new clothing colours present, everything you could ever wish for a game is front and centre.
Oh yeah, and Green Soldiers Heroes promises adjustable aim, increasing difficulty and a gaming experience that is seemingly perfect for newbies to the scene.
