Seeing green in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered? Expect plenty more of it as St. Patricks Day celebrations kick off with lots of green popping up in loadouts everywhere.
From today you can put the rainbow chasing to bed as that much-wanted treasure will be finding its way to you in the form of free Supply Drops, a map, camos and more.
If you’re keen for some emerald green, then the Supply Drops will be what you’ve come looking for. Available today through to April 3rd, players will be able to acquire one free supply drop per week courtesy of the Operation: Shamrock & Awe festivities that have arrived in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered. Those wanting to make the most of the free content will want to make sure to grab their free crate each week as Supply Drops will not stack, meaning those that forget to sign in will miss out on what could be some glorious looting opportunities.
As well as the free drops heading our way is the arrival of a brand-new map for players to jump into – which is available today also. ‘Daybreak’ will not be a permanent map, so once more those wanting to get in on the latest timed content will again need to ensure they get their gear on and head into the warzone during St. Paddy’s day celebrations.
Daybreak will be replacing the fiercely weathered Downpour, with a new look complete with lush green countryside, fluffy clouds and, naturally, a rainbow to brighten the horizon.
Not enough? Well we’re not done there. Next up is the free seasonal camos. Those looking to get the most of the cosmetic wears will want to complete the in-game challenges which will in-turn unlock the exclusive themed camos for your arsenal of weaponry. The new look comes in the form of the Shamrockin’ “Folium” and the rainbow heavy “Prism”. Those wanting the new gear however will need to be aware that each weapon class will require the completion of separate challenges and when the Operation: Shamrock & Awe is over, the challenges are gone forever.
Finally, there will be three new collections to pay attention to, with Reticules, Calling Cards and Emblems all ready to collect – each coming with their own bounties and completing each set comes with its own unlocks. Those that complete the “Luck” set will find themselves the proud owner of a new character in the form of the “Leprechaun” as well as the Shillelagh melee weapon and the “Pot o’ Gold” calling card for the ultimate in unique unlocks.
Anyone looking to bring the ultimate devotion to Operation: Shamrock & Awe will want to ensure they complete all three collections available to find the new unlockable Darren “Graves” Cosgrave as a playable character. Those looking to add the master of the Depot into their loadout will want to act fast though as Operation: Shamrock & Awe expires on April 2nd.
Get to it soldier!
