Thought you could only play the brilliant Battlezone with a VR headset attached? Think again!
Battlezone Gold Edition is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 1st 2018, with a Nintendo Switch version dropping later this summer. And whilst the acclaimed VR tank shooter has previously needed a VR headset for the enjoyment to unfold, the Gold Edition is fully playable without such restrictions.
After originally being released as a PSVR launch title and then later making its way over to Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, Battlezone will bring you hours of exhilarating, futuristic tank warfare in a stunning first-person view. A procedurally generated campaign will sort out those players wishing to experience the battle, with 1-4 players given the chance to realise that no two playthroughs are the same. With drop-in, drop-out online co-op play, Battlezone is most definitely bringing back one of gaming’s icons like never before.
But what is included in the Battlezone Gold Edition? Well you’ll obviously find the game but then ALL the content ever created for it will also be present. Yep, that’s all the tank skins, bobbleheads, and horns, as well as the fantastic Classic Mode based on the original’s iconic 80s arcade cabinet.
Whilst that in itself is great news for Xbox One owners, and we seriously can’t wait for a bit of Battlezone on Xbox One X, those who previously purchased the game on PS4 or PC will find an automatic upgrade to the Gold Edition for free.
This will all be coming from May 1st for the stunning price of £29.99.
Will you be getting involved? You’d be crazy to miss out.
