Helheim hassle launch

Don’t lose your head, but Helheim Hassle is launching on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Coming from Perfectly Paranormal, the talented team behind Manual Samuel, you will now be able to follow the adventures of the troubled, pacifist viking Bjørn.

What is it that has Bjørn troubled? Well, vikings are all about fighting. So much so, that if a viking achieves the ultimate goal of dying in battle, they will be sent to Valhalla to fight for eternity. Bjørn is not about that life. The idea of a nice, unexciting afterlife in Helheim is his true goal, but, due to a series of unfortunate events, Bjørn finds himself stuck in Valhalla. Until his accidental resurrection, of course.

Following his return to the land of the living, Bjørn embarks on a quest to worm his way into the world of Helheim. The road there will require the help of others, and Bjørn’s new, and slightly disturbing, ability to disassemble and recombine his body parts in a various number of ways. Hope the thought of a head hopping around on an arm or a limbless torso rolling to and fro does not disturb you. You will have to get used to this variety of goofy body horror in order to solve all of the game’s platforming challenges and puzzles.

“Woohoo! Helheim Hassle is out, finally! This has been the weirdest year we’ve ever had and with the next game in the Tuesday Trilogy, things are about to get a whole lot weirder,“ said Ozan Drosdal, Creative Lead at Perfectly Paranormal. ”Helheim Hassle takes the wackiness of Manual Samuel and adds a whole load more gameplay, puzzles and story – we think ya’ll are gonna love it.”

Though it releases for real now, Helheim Hassle also has a demo available for download on the Xbox One for £11.39. You can sample the game’s wacky characters, witty writing, and inventive mechanics if you fancy giving it a try before committing to a purchase. Joining the Xbox One release, the game will also be launching on the Nintendo Switch, and on PC through Steam, with a PS4 launch occurring later down the line. Game Description:

Helheim Hassle is a narrative adventure game that is as much about friendship as it is about body parts. From the same universe (and set on the same Tuesday in fact) as previous hit Manual Samuel, comes this macabre adventure where you play as Bjørn, a pacifist Viking who hates the idea of dying and going to Valhalla… who then ends up dying and getting taken to Valhalla. When Bjørn is resurrected to assist with a task for the mysterious Pesto, he sees a way to negotiate his way out. Using Bjørn’s undying corpse with its ability to detach and combine limbs at will, players must solve challenging puzzles and navigate tricky levels in order to retrieve a certain magical item… In return, Pesto will try to grant Bjørn a permanent residence in Helheim – what a hassle!⠀
