Yet another week has gone by and the weekend is finally here….what better time to take a look back and discuss the best Xbox One and Xbox 360 news and reviews from the last week.
And it’s the reviews that we shall kick this edition of ‘A Week In The Hub’ off with.
There is no question that the biggest Xbox racer of the year is Forza Horizon 2 and our review of the Xbox One version has finally dropped. Being big Forza fans we were hoping that Horizon 2 would build on everything that was good with the original Horizon, but does it bring a longer lasting experience? The simple answer to that is YES, the longer answer is contained in our Forza Horizon 2 review.
Alongside that, we also got time to take a look at South Park Pinball for Pinball FX2. Zen Studios have been fairly busy throwing numerous tables out since Pinball FX2 arrived on Xbox One a little while back and the addition of South Park brings two more tables to the game. Known worldwide for it’s humourous but offensive nature, South Park is an interesting choice and our South Park Pinball review tells you exactly why it should be next on your purchase list.
We’ve got a few more reviews in the pipeline for you and over the next few days you should be seeing our thoughts on Fantasia: Music Evolved and Just Dance 2015 (amongst others) appear on TheXboxHub. Both games have just released on Xbox One (and in the case of Fantasia, Xbox 360 as well), and both have received launch trailers. You can check them out by hitting the links below – we’ve also included a few other videos from the last week we feel you shouldn’t miss….
- Fantasia: Music Evolved launches this week with a trailer!
- Just Dance 2015 launch trailer released
- Watch ‘The Trail’ – the opening cinematic for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt now!
- Be thrilled this Halloween with the latest Project CARS trailer
- Immerse yourself in the world of Assassin’s Creed Unity
- They’re here… see The Wyatt Family’s WWE 2K15 entrances
- Official Call of Duty Advanced Warfare launch trailer released
If those above don’t really float your boat then how about taking a look at the Far Cry 4 Season Pass, some ever so shiny Xbox One Pure Pool screenshots or indeed the confirmed release date and Special Edition versions of Dragon Ball Xenoverse? We also told you more about how you can get some free content (Yes, that’s FREE content) for Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor and how the Xbox One system update for November will be bringing you custom backgrounds and profile changes, additions to the TV guide and much much more. It’s rolling out to select System Update Preview members right now so have a little check if you are in the program.
There was also the announcement of the stunning looking Silence – The Whispered World 2 and its release on Xbox One early next year. Silence will follow the story of Noah who is about to lose his little sister Renie to the perils of war and it’s something that we’re seriously looking forward to. Read more about Silence by clicking the link above….there are some gorgeous visuals to drool over whilst you’re there!
And finally for this week I’d like to point you in the direction of a man going above and beyond all things gaming in the hope to raise money for a great cause.
Chris Cook is embarking on a mammoth, and hopefully record breaking, FIFA 15 gaming session and he’d love you to support him by popping down to the event (London, UK), watching his attempt live on Twitch or of course by donating a little to his chosen charity….Special Effect – The Gamers Charity. This link will whisk you to our exclusive Q&A with Chris in order for you to obtain more details.
It’s all for a good cause! Catch you next week.
