‘Hey Mr TXH, that’s not a week. You’ve got something wrong.’ Indeed young squire, your observation skills are on point this morning. Our usual ‘A Week In The Hub’ article covers two weeks this time round, mainly due to us spending far too much time at EGX 2015 to warrant an article last week.

But anyways, let’s take a look at the best Xbox news, reviews, videos and opinions from the last 14 days. There’s a load of stuff you shouldn’t be missing.

The 5 games that stole EGX 2015

We may as well start our round up by taking a look at the event that held us back from delivering our usual AWITH last week…EGX 2015!

There were queues (plenty of queues), gamers (plenty of gamers) and games galore (oh yeh, there were a ton of games). We queued a lot, we chatting to many gamers and we got hands on with some of the very best games that are due out in the next few months. But what were our five favourites? Which were the stars of the show?

Well, you may be surprised at a couple of inclusions on our list.

Destiny: The Taken King Review

The hype behind the original launch of Destiny didn’t take too long to wane. Perhaps it was the lack of story mode that had a certain type of gamer craving for more? Whilst it in no way ‘died a death’, the arrival of The Taken King as it’s first huge expansion was well timed.

Bringing with it a proper campaign, a load of new Raids and Strikes along with plenty of features that Destiny veterans crave and newbies lust after, The Taken King has breathed a ton of new life into the game, coaxing all gamers back to its universe yet again. But is it really the expansion that everyone wanted? Is it worth the huge amount of cash? Our review tells all.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided pre-order scheme modified!

When we first heard about the Augment your Pre-order scheme that Square Enix were going live with in the run up to the release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, it initially looked like a fairly decent way of allowing all gamers to pick and choose their own pre-order bonuses.

But delve a little deeper and it was soon made clear that things were not all rosy in the Deus Ex garden. A huge uproar on social media confirmed that and Square Enix were quick to bin the idea, instead modifying it slightly to suit all.

So now we have a pre-order scheme for Deus Ex Mankind Divided that is fair to all and something that a ton of fans and gamers will want to get involved in. Are you one of them?

PES 2016 Review

Every year gamers around the globe have a decision to make…FIFA or PES, PES or FIFA?

This year is no different but whilst the thought process has been pretty easy in the past (let’s admit it, FIFA has trumped PES hands down recently), this year is different. Konami are back, bringing the big guns to the party with no features, no visuals and a new presentation style.

Does it do enough to warrant a purchase over EA’s offering? Take a look at our review of PES 2016 and maybe all will be told.

Did we miss anything out? Let us know in the comments below or via the usual social media channels. We’d love to hear from you.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
