Indications are positive. Our time with Go-Go Town! was slight and short, but there were enough surprises in the city-building to reassure us that it would be just as charming as Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles and Grow: Song of the Evertree.

Rather than suppress them, we brought them in a horse-pulled cart to Haemimont Games, makers of Stranded: Alien Dawn, to see what they had to say. 

Even when we were in its idle clicker thrall, we couldn’t help but feel the yawning, encroaching void. Dig Deep isn’t good for us - yet the balls keep beckoning us back.

There’s a strong chance that the rustic therapy of Garden Simulator will be enough for you: but in our case, our green fingers were reaching for a little more depth.

The best approach with The Creepy Syndrome might be to wait for a sale and beeline directly to its Lord of the Road inclusion. Whether you play the rest afterwards is up for debate.

Daydreaming about the ideal Color Pals gets us nowhere. We’re stuck with the reality: a game with a great idea that failed to exploit it.

Grindstone is a bloody fantastic (in all senses) puzzle game, where you take the role of Jorj, a dungeon raider and grindstone gatherer, as he chains together similarly coloured ‘creeps’. We had to hold in all that gushing praise, for a moment, when we were offered the chance to interview Dan Vader, director of Grindstone at Capybara Games. Nobody likes a suck-up.

Love has clearly been lavished on Moto Rush GT. But underneath it all is a bike that’s simply not revving. The snazzy presentation and surplus of content applies spark plugs to the engine, but there’s just no saving it.

Ultimately, we liked the levels in Light of Life, but hated the controls. It’s not that the controls are inaccurate or slippy; the problem is in the concept.

Ravenlok is a waltz through Wonderland that you won’t regret.

Grindstone represents the absolute zenith of puzzling, and you should bump and grind against its smooth edges as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
