Stoic and Versus Evil have announced the launch date of their third and final chapter in the award winning Viking RPG series, Banner Saga 3. There are also details on the entire trilogy being packaged together to enable interested gamers to experience the entire adventure.

The final journey beyond the world of Darkness sees players embark upon a world unlike anything encountered in the previous games. Banner Saga 3 will continue with the compelling story driven narrative though, which encourages the character building and the strategic elements that were essential to the games that came before it. The end is nigh, and so the secrets held within are set to be brought into the light and the motivations of characters will be made abundantly clear.

Banner Saga 3 will launch on 24th July, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac, whilst mobile platforms are expected to launch later on this year. At launch, there’ll be three digital versions on offer for PC, with the Standard Edition being self explanatory and a Deluxe Edition including the official soundtrack composed by Austin Wintory, a digital wallpaper, world map and the ‘Gold Wasp’ in-game title. The Legendary Edition includes everything that comes in the Deluxe Edition as well as the exclusive ‘Shadow Walker’ Heroic Title, the ‘Petrie Clan Ring’ exclusive legendary item and the digital novel ‘Gift of Hadrborg’. A digital PC Bonus Edition featuring all three Banner Saga games will also be available.

Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers need not feel left out though as they’ll be getting a physical retail release – The Banner Saga Trilogy: Bonus Edition. This will enable RPG fans to dive headfirst into the whole Viking adventure as it contains Banner Saga 1, 2 and 3, plus a mini art book, a poster, a best-of soundtrack and an in-game digital item. It’s expected to be available in stores on 24th July in the U.S. and 27th July in Europe.

Are you looking forward to the conclusion of the Banner Saga trilogy? Will you be sad to see it come to an end? Let us know!
