You’ll be battling and building in Rising Lords

Prepare for an epic turn-based challenge In Rising Lords, where battles, building, and survival define your every move.

We’ve experienced strategy in World War II with Company of Heroes 3, now prepare to step back even further to mediaeval times with Rising Lords.

Having spent nearly four years in early access on PC Steam, Rising Lords has garnered mostly positive reviews and built a dedicated community of supporters. Now, the game is prepared for battle with its full and final release on PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch today.

Balance, build and battle

Rising Lords goes beyond the conventional turn-based strategy experience with gripping story campaigns and enticing card and board game features. The game is set in the fictional Northern Island Kingdom of Aubelin, a land without a king, ruled loosely by the Council of Counts. Unhappiness prevails, and regions are desolate.

As a Lord or Lady, players navigate the complexities of ruling provinces by balancing production, resource gathering, construction, diplomacy, taxes, and rations. You’ll get to construct mighty fortified cities, raise armies, and employ unique characters in grid and turn-based combat.

Producer Carola Feierfeil remarks, “With a long and focused development, Rising Lords can boast of MORE skill cards, units, events, buildings, victory conditions, etc. We are extremely pleased with the varied modes, including the gripping story campaign where you play the role of a young boy struggling to restore the glory of his ancient house, and every decision you make will shape your path.”

Challenge friends across platforms

Challenge yourself and friends with simultaneous cross-platform multiplayer, explore a map editor, and delve into multiple gameplay modes.

The story campaign unfolds through a prologue and six chapters, complemented by a challenge mode where waves of enemies test your mettle, and a scenario mode allowing battles against up to three lords.

Prepare for battle with Rising Lords on Xbox and Switch

With its unique spin on turn-based strategy, the new, improved version of Rising Lords is releasing onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch today. Grab a copy from the Xbox Store.

Rising Lords description

Collect taxes and resources. Dictate rations and field work. Forge weapons, raise armies, and build mighty fortified cities. Help your people become knights, or dump them on a battlefield far away, but be careful: even the most humble peasants will revolt eventually and an unlucky event card can change the fate of your realm quickly…

Be ready to expand your realm or defend your provinces! Relationships with other Lords are a fickle thing and you will find yourself on the battlefield sooner or later. Raise a well-rounded army, give yourself an edge through a card-based skill system and engage your enemies in mortal combat in highly tactical, grid- and turn-based encounters!

In addition to its campaign mode, Rising Lords features robust multiplayer functionality. Play a quick game, or settle in for an evening or more. Play mind games with your friends with Rising Lords’ special figures and spread false infos. Let them pay for their insolence in questioning your right to rule!
