Bored of racing in a straight line? Like to get a little tail-happy? Think of drifting as a way of life? You’re going to adore DRIFTCE when it releases on Xbox and PlayStation.

Revealed today by the 505 Games and ECC Games S.A. teams, DRIFTCE is a brand-new drift racing simulator that will plonk you behind the wheel of one of twelve officially licensed drift machines as you are tasked with getting it sideways.

Due to release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Spring 2023, DRIFTCE comes from those behind the likes of Car Mechanic Simulator, as you get to create your dream drift car, before taking it to a host of tracks.

This is a game that is about going deep into the drift scene, with the likes of the Toyota AE86, Mazda MX5, and BMW E46 M3 amongst the licensed vehicles that will be available. From there, you can go full-on petrolhead, feeding your passion with 1800 replaceable components like engines, suspensions and wheels to tweak each vehicle to meet the driver’s demand.

You’ll also be able to customize vehicle body kits, paint colors, and add stylized decals for a one-of-a-kind winning machine, all before leaving your rivals in the dust across both single player and online multiplayer modes. Expect to find Career, Quick Race, Sandbox, Free Ride, Solo Run, Time Attack, and Gymkhana options in place.

There will be a host of circuits and tracks too, all recreated through Laserscan technology to ensure you get the optimum drift experience, taking to the new Mount Haruna track, as well as familiar tracks from the PC release of DRIFT21.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
