Created by Out of the Blue and published by Raw Fury, Call of the Sea has been revealed on the most recent Inside Xbox show, confirmed for an Xbox Game Pass launch when it drops on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC in late 2020.
An otherworldly first-person adventure puzzle game, that is set in the 1930s, Call of the Sea will take you to the isolated reaches of the South Pacific, as you play as Norah, a woman who has crossed the ocean in a desperate search for her husband that has gone missing. Having landed on this nameless, strange island paradise that was his last known location, your search will lead you to the discovery of remnants of a lost civilisation as you try to unlock puzzles and secrets that will reveal clues to the fate of your husband’s ill-fated expedition.
Of course, things won’t be that straightforward and you’ll soon come to realise that not everything on the island is as it seems. A love letter to the adventure game genre that follows one woman’s desperate journey – a journey driven by love and longing – Call of the Sea looks set to deliver.
Game features include:
- Explore a lush, vibrant tropical island meticulously modelled in Unreal Engine 4, brimming with amazing sights, lost ruins and occult mysteries
- Immerse yourself in a story-driven adventure full of suspense, emotion and surreal occurrences
- Investigate the clues left by a previous voyage and solve a variety of puzzles to unlock the mystery of what really happened
- Experience an emotional character study of a woman on a journey of self-discovery, fully voiced by Cissy Jones (Firewatch, The Walking Dead: Season 1)
The adventure in Call of the Sea will take place on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC in late 2020 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass when the game launches. We’ll be sure to keep you updated.
