The Importance of a Game Soundtrack

Some people don’t particularly like game soundtracks outside of when they are playing games. Some people think they’re fine and that they serve their purpose. Others, like me, love game soundtracks and listen to them ferociously. As this medium moves forward, the type of soundtrack required for our games has changed.

Hands-on with Trailmakers in Xbox Game Preview

Trailmakers, a brick builder of sorts, is a game that has spent the best part of the last year on PC with many players appreciating it’s LEGO-esque creative opportunities. 5 of the best Borderlands NPCs

Borderlands, whichever game you play, isn't short of amusing NPCs to interact with. These can be mission givers, people you need to recruit to your team, or even just strangers wandering around in the settlements. Whoever they are though, they all have something to say. And normally when they speak, it’s worth listening to. With so many people to choose from across the multiple games, it’s hard to narrow the field of best non-playable Borderlands characters down to just 5. But that’s what I'm going to attempt to do here - list my favourite NPCs in the Borderlands series.

What We Really Want from Borderlands 3

I love Borderlands. Ever since I saw the first game’s trailer, I’ve been in love with its FPS gameplay, funny and bold character design, loot-progression systems, and scenic locations. All of these combined to create an experience which is addictive, funny as hell, and most importantly, fun. Now with the seemingly inevitable Borderlands 3 FINALLY being officially revealed post-awesome-3D-model-trailer teaser, I can happily talk about what I/we want in this new Borderlands game.

Why I stopped enjoying the shooter genre

The first-person shooter genre is what started my love for video games. But something changed after the switch from 360 to the Xbox One. I would buy shooters and play them for a very short period, just to put them down and never pick them back up again.
