minabo a walk through life

Ever dreamt of being reborn as a turnip, getting a turnip partner, making turnip babies, and then dying a turnip death? No? Well, MINABO – A walk through life on Xbox aims to change that.

Turnip Trials and Tribulations:

Following successful releases on PlayStation, Switch and PC platforms – garnering a ‘Positive’ review base on the latter – MINABO today launches onto Xbox consoles, and acts as the life sim you never thought you would need.

Instead of playing God over humans as in The Sims, in MINABO you will form relationships and families with fellow turnips, even adopting radish pets, if that’s your thing.

Immediately bringing to mind the colourful visuals of Animal Crossing, albeit in a 2D style, the ultimate aim of MINABO is to carve out the idyllic vegetable life. A day in the life will include conversing with fellow foods, and changing your relationships with others – get closer to those you vibe with, and by all means avoid those you aren’t too keen on. It’s life, after all!

Key Features:

  • 25 quests with dozens of goals to make every life a challenge.
  • Free life mode: Each life and character is randomly generated. No two lives are the same!
  • Explore interpersonal relationships and build your social circle. Realistic relationships counselled by psychologists!
  • Surround yourself with other turnips and radish-pets!
  • Appealing visuals for all audiences, charming characters with hundreds of animations and seasonal backgrounds.
  • Share your life’s summary with your friends.
  • Start a new life or change your past. You can restart any life to change whatever you’d like (or at least try)

Live the Turnip Lifestyle Today!:

MINABO – A walk through life is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. To pick up a copy on Xbox, the Xbox Store has you covered for £12.49.

Other stores will cover other formats if you prefer to play elsewhere.

WIN a copy of MINABO – A walk through life

To help celebrate the release of MINABO – A walk through life on Xbox, we have teamed up with those at DevilishGames and Selectaplay to be able to offer up some free game code. Details are on the tweet below (via our Twitter too) – you just need to follow, RT and comment. We’ll pick a couple of winners there after.

Game Description

Minabo – A walk through life is a social simulation game where you walk the path of life while your turnip grows and thrives (or not) in its social relationships.

Life starts when you sprout, time goes by with every step you take, and you can set your pace at any moment. You live and learn: surround yourself with other turnips and interact with them to forge your personality. Your acquired strengths and weaknesses will affect your future interactions.

Build your social circle by maintaining and caring for the relationships that matter the most to you, and run away from the ones that don’t. You can adopt many radish-pets and spend your life with them, start a family and breed little turnips or live fast and die young. There are thousands of ways to live and none is correct! Just live as you wish! (and assume the consequences of your decisions when you rot).
