Once again we see a decent use of the Xbox One’s pre-order feature as Deadpool comes up for grabs!
Available to digitally pre-order and pre-download right now, Deadpool can be picked up for £44.99 and brings the wise cracking mercenary to the current gen consoles. You won’t be able to play Deadpool’s third person action shooter until the 20th Nov, but at least you’ll be sure he’s ready to roll as soon as that pesky release date hits.
Expect plenty of action, explosions and mentally unstable, downright crazy X-Men related antics if you decide to get involved.
Game Description:
There are a few important things I need to say before you crack into my insanely sweet game. (Oof. Here we go again.) I’m a mercenary with an accelerated healing factor. I’ve been described as unstable, which is just plain coo-coo. (Wait, do sane people say coo-coo?) I’m gonna battle for the safety of humans and mutants. (And even mumans.) Be prepared for just about anything. (Holla!) Key Features: – I made sure to capture all my good sides, so I made my game a third-person action-shooter. (Yep, you get to look at my heinie.) – Keep a look out cuz some of my X-Men pals (Whoa, what pals?!) are making an appearance. (Hope you don’t mind picking hair out of your tacos.) – I’m really good at killing, so I made it a blast stringing together combos, and totally eviscerating my enemies. (Ev-is-cer-a-ting!) – I brought my skills and a buttload of my favorite things. Katanas (check), guns (bang!) explosives (boom), duct tape (quack) and of course, yours truly – ME! (Checkmate!) – You get more of ME! I’ve included all my DLC from earlier versions in this version, just for YOU, my biggest fan!

That seems a bit high for a remaster of a game sitting at a 61 on Metacritic. Not that that’s the end all bar for comparison, but no one was really excited to pick up Prototype’s remaster. That price equates to $68.17 USD, which is $8 more than a brand new retail game.
I won’t lie, I loved the quirkyness that Deadpool brought to this game but overall it was pretty average. So it’s shocking to see it get a re-master and yep you are spot on about the price, far too much. It’ll be in the sale in no time and when it is £20 it’ll be worth looking at..
Yeah, I don’t doubt that some people really enjoyed it. To each their own. And I’m glad that Deadpool fans supported the game in general. I supposed the remaster is coming to hype people up for the movie or something, but it definitely seems like an odd choice otherwise.
