Almost two years on from its debut on PC, Rataliaka Games and Quill Game Studios are bringing their murder mystery visual novel onto console. Let’s take a trip to Ira Royal Academy and learn all about Death Becomes You on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
A Magical University
In Death Becomes You on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, you’ll follow the journey of 1st year student Sidney as she navigates the traumatic death of Lyra, her best friend and mentor. Student turned detective, Sidney immediately accuses fellow students of Lyra’s grisly murder, and from here the visual novel branches out.
With over ten endings, one of which is the true ending, throughout the course of Death Becomes You’s story you’ll interrogate each of the four suspects.
Is it 3rd year Daniella, master in Transmutation? Or perhaps Apolline is to blame, using her elemental magic to kill? You might just point the finger at Alice, who openly disliked Lyra, making her a prime suspect. Alice’s second in command, Sophie, is also to be brought into Sidney’s interrogation booth.
With a branching narrative and around 77,000 words of dialogue to get through, Death Becomes You will have you gripped until the very end.
