Today, a Giana Sisters: Dream Runners developer diary was released by Black Forest Games and it may just help you understand what it’s all about.

Giana Sisters: Dream Runners is an upcoming spin-off in the Giana series and has been described by the developers themselves as being like Mario Kart in 2D but on legs. And after watching this latest video I’m inclined to agree with that if the word platformer is added in too. Black Forest Games explain the features of this fun multiplayer game, what inspired them and most importantly the evil power-ups you can use in order to get ahead in the race or keep in front of the pack.

When you are racing across one of the nine different tracks, you want to look cool in the process and that’s where the costumes come in. Winning against your friends whilst you are dressed as an owl is surely the ultimate humiliation for them. There’s also a sneaky Ninja costume and one where you can put on the armor of a Knight, to name but a few. Check out the images below for a glimpse at them whilst you wait for the release of Giana Sisters: Dream Runners in June 2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
