Those potty-mouthed kids from Colorado are back but this time they’re ripping the superhero genre a new one in South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

Hot off the heels of the latest South Park episode, Franchise Prequel, serving as a tie-in to this game, The Fractured But Whole takes place after the events of The Stick of Truth. And Cartman AKA The Coon has another grand scheme, this time involving all the characters’ superhero alter-egos in a cross universe film franchise. Unable to decide as a group which way the franchise will go, the group splinters and starts a civil war between the factions.

The player once again takes on the role of The New Kid and has a choice of 12 superhero classes in this single-player RPG adventure.

Available now in two versions, priced at £54.99 for the regular edition and £70.99 for the Gold edition, both come with the previous South Park game, The Stick of Truth, as well as Towelie: Your Gaming Bud. Fans of the show will no doubt be well aware of the ambiguous meaning of the word ‘Bud’ when referring to Towelie.

The Gold edition also includes the Season Pass, details of which can be found here, and also the Relics of Zaron add-on pack, containing key items and costumes from The Stick of Truth. You can however pick both of those up as standalone purchases – Season Pass (£24.99); Relics of Zaron (£3.99).

You can grab South Park: The Fractured But Whole on Xbox One (from the Microsoft Store), PS4 and PC right now. We’ll have our review sent your way real soon.
