Whether you’re sick to death of zombie adventures or you just can’t get enough of them, it goes without saying that Dying Light is a zombie game that we fall in love with every time we boot it up. In recent years it has seen incredible and continued support from the developers, with free content becoming a usual occurrence for the hit open-world zombie RPG. Today however we see even more content arriving to tempt us back on to the streets of Harran once more, and it’s absolutely free.
If you’ve yet to jump into Dying Light, then let it be known that you’ve been missing out on one of the best zombie experiences ever made, but today’s update has seen even more content arrive that has made the experience even better still, and it’s all in time for Easter.
The first bit of content is the brand new game mode – Prison Heist. Prison Heist takes players to an all new location to discover the isolated fortress that sits atop it, before breaking in to the Prison armoury as fast as possible. This can be done in either solo play or with friends in co-op. With strategy proving key to the attack you will need to optimise a plan and maintain a good flow of positive co-operation if you are to loot the place clean before the alarm goes off. With better performances will come better rewards, but remember to prepare for every possible outcome. The new location is a permanent feature, and it’s also worth noting that later in April players will be able to access a community contest taking place on The Prison Island.
The next new arrival within is the new enemy variant known as Sgt. Deathrow, a previously unknown Demolisher mutation that is headed to Old Town. Having succumb to unfortunate events Sgt. Deathrow is back, however he’s bigger, stronger and more unpredictable than before. The rewards for putting him to his demise once and for all may just be worth taking a chance of life and death.
The final piece of content joining Dying Light in this update is one that’s centred around the Easter celebrations and that is the Harran Egg Hunt. The Harran-wide egg hunt is a time limited event that’s available from now until April 3rd, 11:59 PM PST. Throughout this event players will be looking for Easter eggs throughout the zone whilst also hunting down a special kind of enemy – the zombified Easter Bunny. Should you gather 25 Easter eggs on your own to assist the community to the mighty 1,000,000 eggs, then a Gold-Tier weapon will be yours along with a unique Easter-Themed Outfit.
That’s everything that you’ll find available in the latest content drop to arrive in Dying Light, but with more planned to arrive in the coming months for the zombie adventure, be sure to stay tuned to keep up to date on the latest content to arrive in Harran.
