The delightfully quirky Ufouria: The Saga 2 has arrived on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Steam. Sequel to the 1991 Famicom/NES cult classic Ufouria: The Saga, Ufouria: The Saga 2 is a beautiful and humorous exploration-based side-scroller.Â
Developed and published by Sunsoft in Japan, Ufouria: The Saga 2 is being published by Red Art Games, who have previously brought us the adorable platformer Promenade.
A classic game reimagined
If you’ve played the original you’ll notice some differences. Familiar characters and stages have been transformed into charming handmade feltwork plus iron bead artwork pays homage to the nostalgic pixelated aesthetic of the original.
Of course, newcomers to the world of Ufouria are also welcome!

Dynamic challenges await
The various stages from the original game now change randomly with every entry, providing a fresh new challenge with every playthrough.
New characters joining your crew unlock access to previously unreachable areas, including ones not found in the original game. For example, players will be able to explore Hebe’s house for the first time, encounter rare characters previously only seen in Ufouria art books, and delve into the rich lore of the game with the Collection feature, which provides insights into enemies and their backgrounds.

Digital copies of Ufouria: The Saga 2 are available to download now on Xbox Series X|S with the price tag of £20.99. The game is also available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Steam. Unfortunately you won’t be able to play on Xbox One.
